Winter season brings cold temperatures and snowy weather, which means a lot of time inside! I love to snuggle under a blanket with a hot cup of coffee and work on my favorite hobby: embroidery. Today I am sharing 5 cozy embroidery projects with free patterns to keep your hands busy on these cold winter days!

Winter Scene

I’m starting off with a precious winter scene. You’ll see I used this on cardstock bookmarks, but I also created a combined pattern for hoops as well!
Materials needed for this project:
- Fabric
- Embroidery Hoops – You can use this pattern with 6″ hoops or 4″ hoops
- Embroidery floss
- Sewing needles
- Stabilizer or
- Embroidery Pens
- Scissors
- 2 blank white cardstock bookmarks (if you’re making the bookmark version!)

Sweatshirt Cuff

These adorable sweatshirt cuffs are a new pattern I’m sharing! Such a simple touch to spruce up a favorite sweatshirt.
Materials:
- Sweatshirt – I used a sweatshirt I already had at home, but I’m linking these Comfort Colors sweatshirts because they have so many color options!
- Embroidery floss
- Sewing needles
- Stabilizer or
- Embroidery Pens
- Scissors

Valentine’s Cards

Valentine’s Day is around the corner! I made these sweet embroidered valentines, and I can’t wait to share them with my loved ones!
Materials needed for this project:
- Blank cards
- Embroidery floss
- Sewing needles
- Scissors
- Pencil

Cardstock Bookmarks

What is better than cozying up with a good book this winter? Adding the perfect bookmark!
Materials for making these bookmarks:
- Blank white cardstock bookmarks – these ones come with tassels!
- Embroidery floss
- Sewing needles
- Scissors

Cloth Napkins

Our cloth napkins are our most-loved pattern here at Home Sweet Harps.
Materials for Making Embroidered Cloth Napkins:
- Cream or white cloth napkins
- Embroidery floss – 2-3 shades of green, and brown
- Sewing needles
- Embroidery hoop
- Embroidery pen
Christmas may be over, but these beautiful winter trees can be used the rest of the season to create the perfect cozy environment for hosting!
