Hi, I’m Makenzie!

Home Sweet Harps was started as a place to gather my creative ideas. I shared everything from gifting ideas to hosting friends and family. Now my site is mostly focused on one of my favorite hobbies: embroidery. I love sharing patterns, projects and tutorials with this community!

I am a midwestern girl relocated to the south! I love doing life with my hilarious husband, and our three sweet boys. We prioritize faith, family, and spending time together. I love Jesus, I’m a stay-at-home mom, and currently homeschooling our two older boys (and loving it!). Most days we are picking wildflowers, digging in the dirt, and reading together. In my free time, you’ll find me hand-embroidering for my shop, and writing posts to share with you weekly.

How It All Started

I have always enjoyed being creative with my hands. Several years ago, I was looking for a hobby to scratch that creative itch, and I ventured into embroidery. Since then, I have opened my own little shop of hand-sewn shirts, and hoops. My favorite shop items are my personalized birth flower tees, they are such a perfect gift for mom or grandma!
